President and General Manager
As President and General Manager of Sabre Hospitality Solutions, Alex Alt oversees one of Sabre's two Software as a Service (SaaS) businesses. Sabre Hospitality Solutions provides the most comprehensive set of distribution and marketing services in the hotel industry.
Prior to being named president, Alex served in an expanded chief operating officer role at Sabre Hospitality, overseeing customer care, data services, implementations, call center and similar services. As part of the Sabre Hospitality management team, he also helped drive overall business strategy.
Before joining Sabre, Alex was senior vice president of global development and strategy at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, where he played a key role in the global growth and expansion of the business. Prior to Rosewood, Alex was a senior engagement manager at McKinsey & Company. Earlier in his career, he worked in the finance department of Sabre as a manager and senior analyst in the financial planning and analysis group.
Alex is a member of the Dallas Development Board of The Nature Conservancy, and he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two boys.
He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Texas in Austin.
David Meltzer leads the global sales and account teams for Sabre Hospitality Solutions with a team of talented executives across five continents. By implementing a consultative sales approach, David ensures Sabre Hospitality Solutions services are aligned with its customers' strategic business goals.
Previously David was with SynXis where his high-energy leadership helped SynXis become one of the fastest growing and largest providers of complete reservation technology and marketing services for the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Sabre in 2002, David worked in the gaming and hospitality industries at the executive level in various sales and operations roles.
David has served a number of industry advisory groups and is currently a board member for the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research. David earned his BA in History from American University and holds a Master's degree from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.
Chief Technology Officer
Tom Murray oversees the Technology Team at Sabre Hospitality Solutions and is responsible for all aspects of Product Development, Product Support, Systems Operations and Professional Services. Previously Tom was with SynXis and prior to that he was a member of the Technology Team at hubX that developed the CRS solution which later become a foundation for the SynXis CRS product offerings.
Tom has over 25 years experience in the Technology Industry spanning Applications Development, System and Network Operations and Enterprise Architecture. Prior to the Hospitality Industry, he has worked in the Insurance, Banking, and Energy industries which have provided him with a diverse background in applications software and technology platforms in mission-critical business environments.
Tom has a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Boston College and has completed extensive Masters Level coursework in Business Administration and Information Technology.
Sarah Kennedy Ellis is the Vice President of Marketing & Strategic Development for Sabre Hospitality Solutions, where she manages strategy and product marketing for Sabre's hospitality solutions portfolio, in addition to supporting Sabre's hospitality-related M&A activities.
Since joining Sabre in 2007, she has held a variety of product marketing, strategy and technology management roles including her most recent as head of Sabre Labs, the dedicated emerging technology incubator & trends research lab at Sabre's global headquarters. She is often invited to speak at industry events on the topics of innovation, emerging technology trends & millennial retention, and her expertise has been featured most recently by CNN, MIT & Tnooz, the travel industry's leading publication.
Sarah holds a BBA in Business Management & Journalism from Baylor University, as well as an MBA specializing in Marketing & Strategy from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Web Development Solutions
As the head of Sabre Hospitality Solutions' Digital Marketing and Web Development efforts Robert Dawson leads the company's online technology innovations in the areas of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Website Development, Mobile Development and Custom Website Application Development.
Previously Robert was with E-site Marketing where, as co-founder and chief technology officer, he pioneered the development of hospitality Digital marketing solutions. Robert has created many first-to-market technology products including RezTrack®, MCC (Marketing Communications Center) - E-site Marketing's RSS content management solution, and E-site Marketing's first AJAX-based hotel booking engine. Robert possesses a solid background and expertise in Hospitality database marketing, computer consulting and yield management, software development and market research and analysis.
Prior to co-founding E-site Marketing, Robert provided key marketing consulting, including yield management and property specific analysis, as database marketing consultant at Driving Revenue/Pegasus Solutions. He has also worked with Sunburst Hospitality Corporation/Choice Hotels/Manor Care where he was responsible for the development of top line revenues and corporate marketing and planning for over 30 hotels.
Paolo Torchio leads the Product Management and Solution Consulting functions at Sabre Hospitality. This aggressive and committed approach to innovation and customer service allows hotels to maximize their business by enhancing their distribution, revenue generation and digital marketing.
Paolo's career has been wholly dedicated to the hospitality industry including perspective gained as a hotelier as well as a technology solution provider. Over the years, he has cultivated a wealth of experience and expertise in electronic distribution, marketing, revenue management and analytics.
Prior to his role at Sabre, he served as Vice President of E-site Marketing, the online agency acquired by Sabre in 2007 which became an important component in the creation of Sabre Hospitality Solutions. Previously, he was Director of Business Intelligence for Pegasus Solutions. He acquired his hotel level experience through six years spent with Vail Resorts where he served in operational, marketing and revenue management roles both at the property and corporate level.
Paolo is currently the chair of HSMAI's Digital Marketing Council.
Vice President, Service Delivery
Brant Deranger leads the customer-focused and ever-evolving global Service Delivery team. Brant's team implements, trains, and supports the existing customer base of 12,000 hoteliers and the 2,000 plus hotels who migrate to Sabre Hospitality Solutions annually.
Brant's diverse experience includes a background in the Hospitality Industry as a key contributor in the successful migration of global partners such as Preferred Hotel Group, Kimpton, JHC, Red Roof, Relais and Chateau, and Vantage. His hospitality background is complimented by Airline Industry experience as key contributor in the successful migration of Sabre partners such as Ethiopian Airways, Kingfisher and Cayman Airways. A former university instructor and researcher, Brant is currently an advisory board member for the Linguistics and Technical Communication department at University of North Texas (UNT). He has also been recognized as an innovator, having launched the first online communication course at UNT and created an industry-leading blended learning program at Sabre Airline Solutions. Brant joined Sabre Hospitality Solutions in 2007, and was the initial architect of Sabre Hospitality University. Since that time, Brant has continued to innovate, continually driving toward the goal of being the best and most efficient delivery team in the hospitality industry.
Vice President, Business Development,
In his role as Vice President Business Development, EMEA, Brannon Winn leads the Sabre Hospitality Solutions' team in business development for the region. Brannon has 15 years of travel technology, sales, marketing & ecommerce distribution experience gained in online sales & marketing roles in North America and EMEA.
He began his career at Sabre and held roles in finance, sales planning, online sales and moved to Europe to become Director of Sales & Account Management for GetThere EMEA. He joined Worldspan in 2006 where he was eventually promoted to Head of Global Sales Operations at Travelport until 2010. Most recently, as Chief Commercial Officer for Vayant Travel Technologies, he grew the upcoming start-up to a multi-million dollar revenue business.
Vice President, Business Development
Andrew Cox is responsible for leading the Asia Pacific sales and account management team. Andrew has 20 years experience in hotel supplier management, sales, marketing and eCommerce distribution, gained in online sales & marketing roles in Asia.
Andrew gained his primary industry experience with Orbitz where he was promoted from Regional Manager to General Manager of Ratestogo (a Flairview travel company) and then to Regional Vice President Sourcing based in Singapore for Orbitz Worldwide where he established the brand, and opened several regional offices. Most recently Andrew has held the most senior Travelocity role in the region as Director Global Partner Services Asia Pacific during which he oversaw a marked improvement across the hotel and packaging lines of business and a return to positive revenue growth. Andrew has also held senior positions with Destinations of the World, a Middle East based content provider and Lastminute.com where he was a part of the start-up team for their Australian joint venture with Travel.com.au.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Commerce.
Ezequiel Ribeiro leads the Sales and Account Management Team in South America as Director of Business Development. With more than 15 years of experience in Hotel Distribution, Marketing, E-Commerce and Technology he has been leading our Service Delivery Team in the region and has a deep understanding of our customer needs.
Ezequiel started his career in the Travel Industry working in cruise ships and hotels. As his career progressed, his multi-cultural exposure and customer service driven mindset has lead him to grow as he worked within different global market segments. Ezequiel has been at Sabre for the last eight years and has held various positions including training, account management and implementations; he has been essential in developing Sabre Hospitality's Latin America region.
