Orbitz is officially LIVE on Channel Connect!

Orbitz operates as an online travel company worldwide. It also provides various travel management services and private label travel solutions to a range of partners.The company's brand portfolio includes Orbitz and CheapTickets in the United States; ebookers in Europe; and HotelClub in the Asia Pacific. Its global annual bookings exceed $12 billion per year.

A commercial agreement between the hotel and Orbitz is required. Want to move your Orbitz connection from IDS to Channel Connect? You must receive permission and prioritization from Orbitz. The Hotel or Hotel Company will contact Jeff Wellman (jeffery.wellman@orbitz.com) at Orbitz.Jeff will notify the Sabre Hospitality Solutions Partner Manager of approvals and the Sabre Hospitality Account Manager as appropriate. Ikyu.com is on Immediate Stop Sale and Deactivation

Ikyu's management has decided to change their business strategy on international hotel content acquisition due to the lack of production coupled with the high touch work to maintain & grow their international business.

In terms of data connectivity, Ikyu will be sourcing inventories and rates through partnership with other OTA/s and will not have any direct agreements with individual hotels or hotel groups (international). This change in connectivity is scheduled for early fourth quarter 2015. In the meantime, existing direct connect will stay active only for hotel partners already on the connection until Ikyu has finalized their partnership with OTA.

In view of above development, Ikyu.com is on immediate stop sale and is no longer available as a direct channel partner. Please contact Ms. Sachiko Shinamura, Director of Global Business for further information on Ikyu's business strategy.
