February 25, 2021 – Sabre Corporation is delighted to announce that Scott Pusillo, Vice President, North America Business Development and Account Management, Sabre, has joined the prestigious 2021 Americas Board of Directors of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI).
Scott brings a wealth of hospitality experience to the board, which focuses on maximizing revenue for hoteliers, having started his career as a chef before pivoting into hospitality management, revenue and sales. After gaining a bachelor’s degree in management from Johnson and Wales University, he spent two decades in senior roles at some of the world’s best-known international and luxury hotels as well as independent brands, including leading distribution and revenue for Viceroy Hotel Group.
Having brought his sales and revenue management expertise to Sabre in 2017, Scott now lends his industry experience to help deliver the next generation of hospitality solutions to Sabre’s hotelier travel partners, while holding responsibility for all business development, account management and customer retention strategies across North America.
Scott, who holds the respected Certified Hospitality Revenue Management Executive (CRME) credential from HSMAI will join the organization’s Americas board along with a number of specially selected travel and hospitality executives who have been chosen for their expertise, experience, insight and forward-thinking. He has previously been a highly-active participant of the HSMAI, including four years most recently on the HSMAI Revenue Management Advisory Board. The Americas board will hold regular virtual board meetings this year, until in-person meet-ups are possible.
“Sabre and HSMAI share a commitment to growing business for hotels and their partners so I’m incredibly excited to head into the rest of 2021 as one of HSMAI’s board members,” said Scott. “This year will be a critical one for the travel industry and I’m looking forward to playing a key role in shaping how the industry pivots and recovers post-COVID. My appointment is testament to Sabre’s ongoing commitment to strengthening our relationships with hotel partners and the wider travel ecosystem to help launch a resurgence of the hospitality economy.”
“It’s more important than ever that the travel industry moves forward together with a spirit of cooperation, expertise and idea-sharing,” said Scott Wilson, president of Sabre Hospitality Solutions. “So, I’m delighted that Scott will be representing Sabre on the HSMAI board this year. We power tens of thousands of hotels around the world and we’re continuing to invest in our own technological solutions so we can drive transformation across the industry while enabling hoteliers to optimize every source of revenue. Scott’s expertise will be invaluable in helping the hospitality industry to further understand and realize its significant untapped potential.”
